The Moorlands of Halifax

"The Moorlands of Halifax" is a locally famous watercolour painting by local artist Séan Walsh. It depicts the barren moors of Halifax - more accurately Ogden; which coincidentally was Walsh's birthplace. It is believed to be painted 1854, though it is debated by local historians. It was presented to Patrick Brontë as a gift.

It can still be seen at the Dean Clough gallery, Halifax.
